Motivation

When you are down, think of people who managed to defeat all adversities despite of their incapabilities. They are the perfect examples of someone who did emerged triumphant in life.

This video is fiction. You might criticize the plot for its deus ex machines, flaws and its predictable outcomes. But it is not about impressing the film and literary critics, it is about inspiring trillions of people to trust themselves, surpass the hindrances and be motivated.

But as I have thought about this Pantene Commercial Video, I remember Hikari. He is the son of Kensaburo Oe, a Nobel for Literature recipient. He is born with autism, but he did appreciate the language of the birds, that even a normal people would not be able to do so. He express himself through his little compositions, although people might think he himself could not understand it. Maybe quite similar to this girl too. She cannot hear anything, but she knows the language of music itself. Yes, music is about melody, sounds, rhythm and all that. But who told you that definition of music should only be bounded only on that definition you could see in Google, constructed by someone who may not even be someone musically-inclined? What if this girl wants to learn music, because she wanted to express herself since by birth, she is not gifted the ability to be heard and to hear? And so she created her own voice, through her music. Music is not just appreciation, it is also creation and expression. Isn't that heartwarming, even though she has been forsaken to be mute and deaf, still, she struggles so hard to voice out and be heard? :)

While this one, is true to life. I admire his jolliness and audacity and most of all, how he managed to speak with such care for people, to think he should have hated life and envied every normal beings on Earth. But his perspectives are different. His infinite positivity is wonderfully instigating hope for everyone who feels they are not even worth a thing.

"It is a lie to think you are not worth anything." - Nick Vujicic
