I think, there are times that people need to be hurt for them to understand. Perhaps, by nature we are skeptical, that at first we do not believe that things are not as pretty as we view them.
Harsh realities are always present, but some people tend to beautify everything or in simple words, we create illusions. Illusions that if unfolded, could slap our faces back to reality.
