Kawaiiness

Hello! I am starting to be fascinated with gyarus and kawaii culture of Japan for the past few months. Well, not because they are popular these days but because these cutesy Japanese style of makeup and fashion epitomizes innocence and beauty at the same time, and not the usual whore culture from the other countries wherein female wear barely there clothes with their very strong aura in make ups. Do you get what I mean? Lol. I do think gyarus from Japan and the flawless Korean girls are the contrast of those smoky hot girls in bikinis in the West. Lol. Therefore, making me like these pop culture. I love how they promote cuteness rather than hotness, although that is based on my own preference. Lol.

So by the bye, I am into web researching about these culture and I saw this beautiful girl somewhere. I am too in love with her hair and she is so fabulous! And I saw her face without make up and she is still lovely. She is one of the few people I know who has a very nice skin. For some reasons though, I can see her resemblance with the renowned internet celebrity, Miss Tricia Gosingtian. Some of her photos like this one really reminds me of Miss Tricia. Lol, I have also been back reading her blog since yesterday because it is so interesting and I learned a lot, especially with beauty products and blogging. Seeing her photos too made me realize I badly need my own decent camera if I want to improve my blogging. Lol.

I also want to share here that she is having her blog giveaway, and of course I joined. You can also join too! (Referring to those who might stumble upon this blog. Lol). Good luck to us! I have been really eyeing that Candy Doll mineral powder since God knows when. Lol.
Click the photo to read the mechanics of the contest!

I also want to suggest another beauty blogger who happens to be gorgeous as well. Her name is Jen and she seems to be not just very pretty but also down to earth and nice as well! Her videos are awesome and I love her voice and her personality! View her if you have time and if you need to learn things about make-ups!

So there! To anyone who happened to read this, stay beautiful inside and out guys! Kick the negative vibes away!

Pico De Loro

My first hit on the beach. ~Such a super late post!~
Welcome to Pico De Loro at Hamilo Coast! A beach resort and country club located at Batangas, Philippines!

These are the views of the beach and the pool at their Beach club.
This is at their Spa Area, if I am not mistaken. I was eating a frozen yogurt that exact moment. Yeah, the resort are also selling yummy and extra creamy yogurts at their resto!
Mom posing at the display canon somewhere around the beach.
Please ignore my flabs.
My brother playing beach volleyball. He is the one wearing black shorts.
Mummy and I swimming!
My mummy posing at the bridge area. This is also around the beach.
Emo moment. LOLJK
View of the beach club lobby at night.
Waiting for our food! This is at resto around the beach club also.
Posing in front of our hotel. (Not actually OUR okay, if you know what I mean. LOL)
Near our room!
Waiting for our breakfast. This is another resto from another building of Pico de Loro.
I guess this is my picture while eating or while waiting for the food to be passed around. Lol.
After eating, we decided to have a rest. Lol. I guess this is the country club of Hamilo Coast.
After the rest, I decided to tour around. This is another swimming pool at the country club.
Another hang out place! Yes, Pico de Loro is a huge resort and country club!
I walked around alone and this photo is an evident. Lol.
Some of the places I saw. The above photo is a condominium.
I roaming around the woods. Lol. But enough of the outdoor photos. . .
Here is a picture of our hotel room. Mummy, I, Gerard and my Tito.
Sight seeing. . .
I mentioned they have a country club a while ago, so this is my brother playing billiards. The game and leisure club is so spacious. They have tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, bowling and billiards area and even a play station and Wii room! Lol. A bar is located on the upper ground where you can chill and drink!
At the parking area, on our way to the beach club to check out! Aww!
Farewell and I hope to be back soon! :) We really had a nice time and the place is so nice!

A Broken Soliloquy

I was now in the phase of exploring, of soaring into the depth of each opportunities, into the labyrinth of possibilities. Caressing every minute details carving my interests and perceiving each spark flickering inside me. I wish that soon enough in my pursuit, I will finally uncover the things meant for me. But the search is not a path, but a maze, so arduous and intricate that at some points I became lost. I was and would be gone astray for my spirit lacks brilliance at times, but that what makes me embrace liberty. Thus, the freedom to be soulful and to wander make me breathe, make me alive.
I might have stumbled often, but I am still here, and that what makes living worthwhile: the courage of standing and moving forward. Life is too fickle and hostile, but it is bittersweet as well, and that what makes people crave, love, waste and end it. It is a very exhausting quest along the woods, the oceans, the roads and the sky. We struggle and die in the chronicles of birth and demise, and no one can be certain of how things will end. But one things if for sure, it is either we keep going or we surrender in oblivion.
Someday, after living and not just existing, I want to be successful too, like all the great people I know. I do not want to be as great as them, for I can never be the next Audrey Hepburn or Salvador Dali or Coco Chanel or Arthur Rimbaud. But all I want is just want to be as thriving like them, in my own idea of success. At the end of the day, I just want to witness how the world goes in different places and to be happy, and that is my vision of triumph. I might fail in love, in marriage, in building a family and in stability, but two things I hope I will not be forsaken to are liberty of doing what I love and wandering. Those two define most the core of my entity.

The Bad Girl by Mario Vargas Llosa

It took me quite a long time finishing this because I have other things to do. Lol.

Seldom do I talk about love stories because I am not very fond of it. You see, I am not the sweetest girl who will do everything for the man she loves, because I am more of the independent and a solitary girl. Some young men whom I think were condescending have called me "cold hearted bitch", but I do not think I am heartless. I am easily enamored actually, but by fictional characters. Lol.

Kidding aside, so after reading this it made me realize that "Love in the Time of Cholera" by Gabriel Marquez was no longer my favorite love story (Only in terms of plot, okay?) but "The Bad Girl" by Mario Vargas Llosa. I will no longer then seek for my Florentino Ariza who could wait for me half a century, but for someone who will chase for me forever even though I will left him on and on for another man. Lol. But for the writing style of this book, I do think it is a so-so compare to Marquez's. Llosa, after winning the Nobel, could now be regarded as a high caliber writer. But reading this book, I felt bewildered. I am not bashing or anything, perhaps, I should read more some of his novels and poems to give a better opinion about him.

I will not go into details because I do not want to be an utter spoiler if you happen to read this post, but this are the few things I want to always remember about this book.

- The Bad Girl is the bitchiest fictional character you will ever meet and more liberated than Scarlet O'Hara. She, in my modest opinion, is the ultimate femme fatale.
- The plot is both predictable and unpredictable.
- I am scared of Japanese Yakuza now. Lol. I am studying Japanese culture for my thesis and from time to time, I read about their pornography and all that. But little did I know about the practice discussed by Llosa in this novel. It is really disturbing compare to the kind of brutal sex I have seen from German, Swedish and French films.
- I became acquainted more on the Hippie culture, making me realize how many hippie posers were dispersed on the internet. Lol.
- Mario Vargas Llosa is a very knowledgeable man although, he is stereotypical too.
- I am inferring after reading this book that Mario Vargas Llosa has a good knack not only in Literature but also into politics, history, culture, fashion and. . .make up. Lol, we can be friends.
- I can sense tinges of influences of Gustave Flaubert from this novel. I might research soon if Llosa seem to be inspired by Flaubert

So there, not really an impressive book but I enjoyed reading this. Lol, please do not judge me for enjoying it.

Pardon My Superficiality

I have been blogging about mediocre things lately that I completely forgot my vision as a blogger. I want to give both my heart and mind in scribbling here on my low profile abode of thoughts. So tomorrow, I will start deleting all the stupid rants I posted here and would promise myself to write about sensible things. I want to start anew of something. I do not want to post another quick draft but a blog post encompassing my idea of aesthetics, literature, films and whatnot. Albeit there would be times, that I will add occasional updates of my life such as snapshots during family getaways, friends' bonding times and of course, being egocentric as always, my photos.

Kainan sa Dalampasigan

This is a restaurant located at Nasugbu, Batangas, Philippines. If you happen to be looking for a nice lunch or dinner after hitting the beach, you might want to visit this. You can also enjoy the forest-like ambiance of this scrumptious Filipino food haven!
Let me welcome you inside!
Restaurant banner!
Yes, you can actually see this tree inside the place!
Sneak peak of their stained glass windows.
Stained glass windows' view from the outside.
Another view.
Mom!
The photos hanging in bamboo stands are their press features.
Tada! This is the first thing I saw when I entered the restaurant. Uhm, yeah. This is already inside the dining area.
A closer look. . .
Lovely, isn't it?
Chandelier!
Near the parking area, I think? Lol

So yeah, I practically enjoy this place because I am fascinated with natural aesthetics. I would prefer this place than dining in a posh and high class hotel in Manila. Anyway, I am so sorry for not taking pictures of the food. We were starving when we arrived here. Thus, at the moment I got a glimpse of the food serving by the friendly waiters, I forgot my camera and ate already. Lol.

Studded Connector Ring

I really cannot find this type of ring here in the Philippines. . .

So I decided to make my own, lol. (Uhm, yeah. The book where it was placed is ‘Catcher in the Rye’. Lol.)
When worn by me:
And yes, my fingers look deformed. Please ignore them anyway. Lol.
